OUR WORK

The Hope Resource Center is a recovery hub for our brothers and sisters disproportionately impacted by soaring rates of homelessness, drug overdoses, forced prostitution, violent crime, psychosis and poverty in Franklin County. Hope offers same-day access to comprehensive resources for individuals seeking help. These resources include; detox, drug and mental health treatment programs, sober living, counseling, weekly recovery support groups and an on-site daily free clinic. Hope also provides hot meals, clothing, hygiene and harm reduction tools. All of our services are free of charge and provided without the fear of a warrant or background check.

(With permission from Celeste & Melissa, we post this picture. These beautiful women came to our center. They were in active addiction and homeless. They did not have Hope. We lent them our Hope until they could find some on their own. They have found their own Hope.)

DRUG OVERDOSE CRISIS
IN COLUMBUS

Overdose is the #1 cause of death in the U.S. for people under 50. In 2023 Franklin County, which has the highest number of overdose deaths in the state of Ohio, had 640 people lose their lives to a drug overdose. Of the 64 zip codes in Franklin County, a majority of the overdose deaths occurred in three zip codes. The Hope Resource Center has locations in two of those zip codes - 43204 and 43211.

(Actual photo of an overdose in the alley behind The Hope Resource Center. Hope volunteers rushed to the scene to administer NARCAN that revived the individual before medics arrived.)

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Relationship building through compassionate care has been a proven model for Hope. You may help by donating wish list items or make a cash donation which allows for us to buy needed items directly. The grant funding we receive covers all operating expenses and as a result, 100% of your cash donations go directly in service to our brothers and sisters living on the streets battling addiction and homelessness! The Hope Resource Center receives grant funding from Franklin County Office of Justice Policy & Programs, Franklin County Public Health and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

For more information on making a donation or volunteering, please contact us.

(Thanks to two of our amazing volunteers, Robbin and Alyssa, for their time and dedication. None of this works without our volunteers!!)
